Transportation Building A hearing will be conducted on the proposed plans and specifications for the Transportation Building, located in Spencer, Iowa at a meeting of the School Board to be held at the Board Room, 23 East Seventh St, Spencer, Iowa 51301 at 5 P.M., on the 27th of September 2022, at which time and place any person may appear and file objections to the proposed plans, specifications and form of contract for the Project. Bids must be submitted on the approved Bid Form available in the Contract Documents or a printable electronic Bid Form is available from the Architect. No oral, facsimile, electronic or telephonic bids or modifications will be considered. Bids received after the deadline for submission of Bids as stated herein shall not be considered and shall be returned to the late Bidder unopened. The successful bidder will be notified on or after October 10th, 2022, after the proposals have been reviewed by the Architect and a recommendation as to the lowest responsible bidder has been made to the School District and accepted by the Board. Work under the proposed Contract shall be commenced upon receipt of signed Contract and phase 1 work shall be completed in a timely manner by June 30, 2023. Phase 2 work shall follow and be completed within 1 fiscal year of June 30, 2023. Plans and Specifications governing the construction of said improvements have been prepared by CMBA Architects, Spencer, Iowa which plans and specifications to and defining said proposed improvements are hereby made a part of this Notice and the proposed contract shall be executed to comply therein. Spencer Schools reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, re-advertise for new bids and to waive informalities that may be in the best interest of the Board.
