Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) for Server Room All Work Must Be Completed Within Thirty (30) Calendar Days of the Issuance of a Notice to Proceed by the City. B. Vendors Interested The City Reserves the Right to Cancel or Reject This Request for Quote or Reject Any or All Quotes, to Waive Any Informalities in Any Quote and to Purchase Any Whole or Part of the Items or Services Listed in the Request for Quote. The services, work, and/or items that the Contractor shall provide in a timely and proper manner in accordance with the Contract include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following, as well as the attached work plans: The City of Roanoke is seeking responses from qualified Contractors to provide an uninterruptible power supply system, and installation of that system. The uninterruptible power supply system shall conform to the following specifications: 1. UPS shall have an external bypass. 2. UPS shall supply power to existing 110/204/208/220v power circuits and equipment; number and type of outlets, etc. 3. UPS shall automatically engage in event of area electrical power outage 4. UPS shall simultaneously support all of the hardware components listed in Exhibit 4. 5. UPS shall support all hardware components at 100% load for a minimum of 60 minutes. 6. UPS shall not exceed average load rating of 30%. 7. UPS shall be new equipment; not used or refurbished. 8. UPS shall have a power factor of .96 or greater. 9. UPS should employ scalable battery system design. The installation of the UPS shall conform to the following scope of work: 1. Vendor shall uninstall the existing UPS and install new UPS while minimizing impact to the City and its users. This will involve careful planning with City staff of any power disconnects. 2. UPS installation should conform to local electrical codes and meet industry standards. 3. The Vendor shall provide documentation and training to staff on normal operation of system. 4. The Vendor shall obtain, at Vendor expense, all permits and licenses required by the City of Roanoke. 5. The Vendor shall create and provide, at Vendor expense, all electrical and mechanical drawing required to obtain permits. This includes any C-10, P.E, or similar stamps that may be required on drawings for permits. 6. For the project to be considered complete, all items in the SYSTEM ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA will be met. 7. All labor must be at prevailing wage rate. 8. The Vendor shall install all needed cabling and wiring required for the quoted system. All infrastructure must conform to City of Roanoke and state electrical and mechanical requirements. 9. Vendor shall decommission and haul away old UPS'S system. Proposer shall certify equipment will be disposed via an approved e-waste method/vendor. 10. The Vendor shall ensure the UPS is integrated into the existing transfer switch/bypass switch, or replaced with new transfer switch between street power and generator. 11. The Vendor will ensure that all work performed will not cause a discharge of the City of Roanoke Data Center Halon fire suppression system. The Vendor shall bear all cost to repair/replace and recertify the Halon system if a discharge does occur. 12. The Vendor shall ensure that the supported server room will have zero down time at the time of the switch.
