Renovation of a service station / car wash facility in Grimes, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a service station / car wash facility.
The Iowa DOT is seeking a qualified licensed HVAC Contractor to provide and install a Mini Split Heating and Cooling system for the Lab Area at the Grimes DOT Maintenance Garage per the attached specifications and plan. Exterior condenser unit to be ground mounted, interior unit to be wall mounted. Use existing electrical circuits, panel location noted on plans. Installation is to be completed during normal business hours 7:00 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. M-F. This includes demo and all materials and debris to be disposed of off site. Contractor to include product warranty information, manual, start up and training to DOT project manager prior to DOT final acceptance. Start and completion dates listed in this solicitation are desired dates. Bidders are welcome to propose other reasonable dates for DOT consideration based on but not limited to; lead time for materials, beginning or ends of seasonal periods, coordination and availability of subcontractors. It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule.
