Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Grimes, Iowa. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The general extent of the work involved is as follows: Construction of a new 3.0 MGD reverse osmosis water treatment plant consisting of precast concrete and steel framing treatment building, chemical storage and handling facilities, high service pumping, installation of reverse osmosis (RO) equipment previously procured by the city, relocating existing RO units to the new building, site piping, site work, electrical and controls systems, mechanical systems, and all miscellaneous associated work. The work also includes improvements to the existing lime softening plant, including lime slaking system, chlorine feed system, pumping, and controls. The work also includes improvements to the existing standpipe booster pump station.
