ArtSpace Charter School - New Arts Building & Renovations: FLB has been asked to price the construction of a roughly 11,000 square foot New Arts Building for ArtSpace Charter School across the street from their existing facility in Swannanoa, NC. The scope of work will also include renovations to their existing space, consisting of minor MEP work and finishes. Existing Main Building - Renovation Scope of work at the existing building will consist of selective removal and replacement of floor finishes, new interior partition walls, selective patch and repair at existing wall assemblies, and new ceilings. Existing building to house new mini kitchen, new multipurpose room, new dressing room and four (4) repurposed classrooms. New Arts Building - Addition Scope of work to include construction of a new performance and visual building. The New Arts Building will be a two story facility used to house new gallery space, dance studio, drama and art classrooms, music room, recording studio and field level storage. The structure is HSS structural steel with bar joists and metal decking, concrete footings, slab on grade, slab on metal decking, and CMU foundational walls. The building interior will consist of light-gauge metal stud framing, painted drywall, acoustical drop ceilings, and sealed concrete floors with a few carpeted areas and a floating vinyl floor in the dance studio. The exterior façade is covered with masonry veneer and painted high density fiber cement panels. TPO roofing system. Work includes glass storefront with alternates for metal canopies and aluminum sunshades. Please Also Note: Sitework and utilities to within 5’ of the building are NOT INCLUDED.
