Site work for a water / sewer project in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

**As of October 10, 2022, project was awarded tO SCOTT AND RITTER INC but awarded amount is not available.** Vendor shall provide all materials, tools, equipment, and any other items necessary to repair and upgrade sewer system located at the Christian County Welcome Center on Interstate 24. Items to replace and install shall be: - Two (2) Hydromatic Model HPGH750M6-2, equivalent or greater, submersible grinder pumps containing double mechanical seals, seal leak detection, minimum of 35' of power and control cables, temperature protection, and driven by 7.5 H.P., 3450 RPM, 3/208/60 submersible motors. One (1) pump control panel housed in a NEMA 4X stainless steel pedestal mounted enclosure wired for duplex pump operation. Panel shall be designed to mount atop the wet well lid on an aluminum vented pedestal. Included shall be a main power distribution block, pump circuit breakers, IEC rated motor starters, control transformer, GFI outlet, indicator lights for "pump run" and "seal fail", HOA switches, elapsed time meters, duplex alternator, alarm light and alarm horn. Six (6) ARI Model D025TP02, equivalent or greater, 2" threaded nylon body combination air/vacuum relief valves. Extended Description: Vendor shall supply parts as needed for upgrade of sewer system. The Commonwealth will only pay the price invoiced to the vendor. Vendor is to provide a copy of their invoice received from their suppliers for any materials used to repair/upgrade system with the invoice for repair. Vendor shall provide all labor and equipment required for system upgrade. - Scope of Work These specifications will define the sewer system repairs that are to be performed at the Christian County Welcome Center that is located along Westbound I-24 (MP 92.057). Vendor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and other items necessary to replace the two pumps, air valves, and the control panel for the sewer lift-station at the abovementioned facility. NOTES: The contractor shall use caution in replacing the existing pumps, valves, and control panel box with the new items so as not to damage the lift-station or wet well structure in any way. The contractor shall be held responsible for any damage done to the Commonwealth's property, which is caused by him or his employees, during the course of this repair project. Bidders, before submitting proposals, shall visit and examine the site to satisfy themselves as to the nature and scope of the work and of any difficulties attending its execution. The submission of a proposal will be construed as evidence that a visit has been made. Later claims for labor, equipment or materials required for difficulties encountered, which could have been foreseen had such a visit been made, shall not be recognized. Any dimensions shown are approximate in nature. The Contractor is responsible for all final dimensions. The Contractor is to verify all field dimensions before submitting proposal or ordering materials. Contractor is cautioned against incorporating any changes in these specifications without approval of the Department Representative. Any unapproved changes on this project will not be recognized for payment by the Department. Contractor is cautioned to scrutinize the specifications closely. The specifications are complimentary; however, items that may be indicated on one and not the other does not relieve the contractor of furnishing the items. MATERIALS AND INSTALLATION The contractor shall employ skilled technicians to provide and install new pumps, air/vacuum relief valves, and control panel as specified below: Pumps Contractor shall furnish and install two (2) Hydromatic Model HPGH750M6-2, equivalent or greater, submersible grinder pumps containing double mechanical seals, seal leak detection, minimum of 35' of power and control cables, temperature protection, and driven by 7.5 H.P., 3450 RPM, 3/208/60 submersible motors. Pumps to be Class 1 Division 1 Explosion Proof Rated. Contractor will be responsible for making necessary modifications to the discharge piping, check valves and pump flange adapters as required for the new pump application. Control Panel Contractor shall furnish and install one (1) pump control panel housed in a NEMA 4X stainless steel pedestal mounted enclosure wired for duplex pump operation. Panel shall be designed to mount atop the wet well lid on an aluminum vented pedestal. Included shall be a main power distribution block, pump circuit breakers, IEC rated motor starters, control transformer, GFI outlet, indicator lights for "pump run" and "seal fail", HOA switches, elapsed time meters, duplex alternator, alarm light and alarm horn. Air Relief Valves Six (6) ARI Model D025TP02, equivalent or greater, 2" threaded nylon body combination air/ vacuum relief valves. Warranty of materials The contractor herein warrants that all materials furnished are new and of good quality. The contractor further guarantees that the project is free of defective materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from final completion date. Upon notification of any defects within the confines of stated guarantee period, the contractor shall make all necessary repairs and replacements at no cost to the owner including work time and distance to site, and such repairs shall be accomplished within three (3) working days after notification. Additional warranty requirements, as may be required, shall be referenced elsewhere in this set of specifications. Work Zone Safety The contractor shall continuously maintain adequate protection of all work from damage and shall protect the owner's property from injury or loss arising in connection with this solicitation. He shall make good any such damage, injury, or loss, except such as may be directly due to errors in the solicitation or caused by agents or employees of the owner. He shall adequately protect adjacent property as provided by law and the solicitation. The contractor shall take all necessary precautions for the safety of employees on the work site, and shall comply with all applicable provisions of federal, state, and municipal safety laws and building codes to prevent accidents or injury to persons on, about, or adjacent to the premises where the work is being performed. Deadline for written questions All questions shall submitted in writing by the date and time specified. No questions shall be accepted after the date/time listed unless the question(s) is considered material to the procurement. Oral questions will not be accepted at any time except for bid procedural clarifications. The Commonwealth will respond to salient questions in writing by issuing an Addendum to the Solicitation. 9/14/22 4PM Commonwealth's response to written questions The Addendum shall be posted to the Commonwealth's e-Procurement web site. 9/15/22 4PM
