PURPOSE AND BACKGROUND It is the intent of this Invitation for Bids to establish an Agency Specific Term Contract to provide Road Maintenance Salt (Sodium Chloride) to the NC Department of Transportation, Division of Highways. This solution specified herein will primarily be used to reduce the adhesion of snow and ice to road surfaces during the winter months. Bids shall be submitted in accordance with the terms and conditions of this IFB and any addenda issued hereto. 1.1 CONTRACT TERM The Contract shall have an initial term of three (3) years, beginning on the date of final Contract execution (the "Effective Date"). In addition, the State reserves the right to extend a contract term after the last active term. Submit Written Questions Vendor September 14, 2022; by 12:00pm E.T. Provide Responses to Questions State September 16, 2022; by 12:00pm E.T Written questions shall be e-mailed to slbryant3@ncdot.gov by the date and time specified above. Vendors will enter "IFB #54-SBG-07292022 Questions" as the subject for the email
