**As of October 26 ,2022, project was awarded, construction will start in early November 2022, and completion of the project is anticipated by the middle of December 2022** Curb, Gutter, and Sidewalk Replacement Project, Sawcut, removal, and reconstruction of 12,444 SF of sidewalk; 2) sawcut, removal, and reconstruction 1,000 LF of concrete curb and gutter 3) sawcut, removal, and reconstruction 1,400 SF of concrete driveway approach; 4) sawcut, removal, and reconstruction 186 SF of concrete cross and/or longitudinal gutter; 5) placement of 10 tons of aggregate base and all appurtenant work. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project awarded on or after April 1, 2015 unless registered with DIR pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. The expected completion time of the Program is 30 consecutive working days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. It is the bidder's responsibility to check the City's website for any addenda that may be issued for this project prior to submittal of the bid. Failure to submit required addenda with the bid disqualifies the bidder. The City reserves the right to determine and waive nonsubstantial irregularities in any proposal, to reject any or all proposals, to reject one part of a proposal and accept the other. The bid shall be balanced so that each bid item is priced to carry its share of the cost of the work and also its share of the contractor's overhead and profit. The City reserves the right to delete any bid item to the extent that the bid is qualified by specific limitation. An unbalanced bid shall be considered as grounds for rejecting the entire bid. The City further reserves the right to make award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder as the interest of the City may require. The City reserves the right to retain all proposals for a period of 60 days after the bid opening date for examination and comparison and to delete any portion of the work from the Contract.
