Renovation of an educational facility in Simi Valley, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The Project includes, without limitation, furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment and other incidental and appurtenant Work necessary to satisfactorily complete the Work as more specifically described in the Contract Documents. The Work will be performed in strict conformance with the Contract Documents, permits from regulatory agencies with jurisdiction and applicable regulations, and includes, but not limited to: Abatement of flooring per Criterion 2009 Environmental report, removal of all flooring in their entirety, moving of furniture and boxes, installation of New Nora flooring (OFCI), tack board from 4 to 7-0 above finish floor, new vertical blind in six rooms, installation of white boards (OFCI), electrical work in 39 classrooms, and paint of interior doors and interior of exterior doors. It is District policy that estimates of the costs to construct the Work, Project funding and Project Budgets are not published or disclosed. Pursuant to Public Contract Code 20111.5, the District will only consider Bid Proposals submitted by Pre-Qualified Bidders; a Bid Proposal submitted by a Bidder who is not a Pre-Qualified Bidder will be rejected for non-responsiveness. The Instructions to Bidders describes the prequalification requirement in more detail. Contractors are to prequalify through Quality Bidders. Contractors License Classification. Bidders must possess the following classification(s) of California Contractors License at the time that the Bid Proposal is submitted and at time the Contract for the Work is awarded: B - General Building The Bid Proposal of a Bidder who does not possess a valid and in good standing Contractors License in at least one of the classifications set forth above will be rejected for non-responsiveness. Bidder and Subcontractors DIR Registered Contractor Status. Each Bidder must be a DIR Registered Contractor when submitting a Bid Proposal. The Bid Proposal of a Bidder who is not a DIR Registered Contractor when the Bid Proposal is submitted will be rejected for non-responsiveness. All Subcontractors identified in a Bidder's Subcontractors' List must be DIR Registered contractors at the time the Bid Proposal is submitted. The Contractor awarded the Contract for the Work shall post a copy of all applicable prevailing wage rates for the Work at conspicuous locations at the Site of the Work. The Contractor and all Subcontractors performing any portion of the Work shall pay not less than the applicable prevailing wage rate for the classification of labor provide by their respective workers in execution of the Work. Bid Security. Each Bid Proposal shall be accompanied by Bid Security in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the Bid Proposal, inclusive of the proposed price for any additive Alternate Bid Item(s). Failure of any Bid Proposal to be accompanied by Bid Security in the form and in the amount required shall render such Bid Proposal to be non-responsive and rejected by the District. Bidders submitting a Bid Bond as the Bid Security are solely responsible for completing Surety2000 registration requirements and payment of Surety2000 fees and charges. The District will accept Bid Bonds verified by Surety2000 in satisfaction of Bid Security requirements as an accommodation to Bidders. The District is not responsible to Bidders for: (i) Surety2000 acts or omissions; (ii) the complete/timely verification of a Bid Bond; or (iii) any other errors in the electronically verified Bid Bond. The District reserves the right to reject any or all Bid Proposals or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any Bid Proposal or in the bidding. The award of a contract for the Work, if awarded, will be by action of the Districts Board of Education to the responsible Bidder submitting the lowest priced responsive Bid Proposal. Construction Phasing. Conduct work sequence and furniture moving in the following phases: 5.1. Phase 1- Building 200: February 1, 2023 to April 4, 2023. 5.2. Phase 2- Building 400: April 5, 2023 to June 1, 2023. 5.3. Phase 3- Building 100 and K building: June 2, 2023 to August 1, 2023. 5.4. Phase 4- Building 300: August 2, 2023 to October 2, 2023. 5.5. Phase 5- Building 500: October 3, 2023 to November 30, 2023. 5.6. Phase 6- Building 600: December 1, 2023 to January 31, 2024.
