The City of Lake Jackson, Texas will accept sealed bids for the purchase of liquid chlorine (195,000 pounds) and sulfur dioxide (80,000 pounds) in accordance with the following specifications. A complete bid shall include all Standard Factory Specifications as well as all dealer added options. The selection will be based on overall price and reliability of the bids. Quantity (Estimated Only) Estimated 195,000 pounds of 100-percent chlorine to be provided in 1-ton (2,000 pound) containers and 150-pound cylinders. Containers and cylinders are DOT approved, valved to permit the withdrawal of either gas or liquid chlorine and meet the specifications out lined by the National Chlorine Institute. Quantity (Estimated Only) Estimated 80,000 pounds of sulfur dioxide to be provided in 1-ton (2,000 pound) containers. Delivery Requirements Delivery of approximately 150,000 pounds of chlorine to be provided in 1-ton containers. Delivery of approximately 45,000 pounds of chlorine to be provided in 150-lb cylinders. Delivery of approximately 80,000 pounds of sulfur dioxide to be provided in 1-ton containers. Delivery of items being bid will be on a will call basis only. Items being bid are for an estimated quantity for one year with options to renew on a yearly basis only. Bidder will deliver within ten working days after an order has been placed. Bidder will provide one (1)-ton container or 150-lb cylinders as requested at a time. Bidder shall deliver Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The deadline to ask questions is 9/20/2022 5:00 PM CST
