Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Richmond, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility; and for site work for a transportation facility.
The Chesterfield County Airport currently has several facilities and specialized aviation systems that require regular major maintenance and rehabilitation. Examples include maintenance buildings, taxi lanes, ramps, and aprons. These projects carry with them varying levels of federal and state funding, with the majority requiring only two percent County funding. FY2023: Begin construction of Terminal Apron Rehab FY2024: Completion of Northwest Hangar Taxiway extension FY2025: Rehabilitation of T-Hangars Project is included Chesterfield County 2023-2027 CIP. As of February 14, 2024, construction has begun on the projects. Terminal Apron is almost complete. The rest will follow. A design team has not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
