Renovation of a residential development in Salem, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
The Salem Housing Authority, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for the Roof Replacement project, 73 Boston Street, in Salem, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by Andrew M. Brockway & Associates. The Project consists of: a. Removal of existing asphalt and slate shingles and replacement with new asphalt shingles. The Work shall start as stated in the Notice to Proceed and shall be complete within 90 consecutive calendar days. b. Removal of existing pressure-treated wood decking and EPDM membrane roof and replacement with new decking & railings and modified bitumen roof. c. Removal of existing wood trim at windows and roof fascia and replacement with new PVC trim. d. Removal and replacement of aluminum gutters. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 26 to 27H inclusive; Federal Regulation 24 CFR Part 85.36 and the Davis-Bacon Act. DCAMM Certification: NONE General bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), and made payable to the Salem Housing Authority
