This request is for the supply, delivery and installation support of the following equipment for required temporary (3-4 years) treatment process upgrades at the current Hudsons Hope Water Treatment Facility: Supply and deliver a filtration system for the pre-treatment of existing well water for the reduction of hydrogen sulphide gas; iron and manganese. The system shall be capable of treating 1500 cubic metres of water per day and shall have a fully automated backwashing system. Supply shall include the media vessels; the media; and all control valve equipment for the backwashing system. Piping will be supplied by others. Supply and deliver a sodium hypochlorite injection system to be installed by the Contractor (Clear Blue Water Systems Ltd.) ahead of the filtration system to oxidize the target constituents and provide control of biological organisms in the raw water stream. All equipment supply and delivery must be coordinated with the Contractor retained to install the systems - Clear Blue Water Systems Ltd. (CBWS) for effective filtration prior to entering the existing treatment facility. Coordination shall include assisting with the arrangement of the equipment, pipe sizing and determination of power requirements and commissioning. Suppliers are to submit proposed equipment and media specifications to CBWS for review and approval by the District of Hudsons Hope (DoHH) and their treatment plant consultants - McElhanney. Media specifications shall include statements of expected treatment efficiencies with similar water, or results of testing completed on water samples. Raw water can be provided upon request. Submissions shall include an equipment layout drawing with inlet, header and outlet piping requirements to meet the desired flow. A process narrative should be included to ensure that backwashing cycles are optimized for the required flow capacity. Coordination of the backwashing control equipment will depend on the classification rating of the treatment space, as there is also methane gas present in the raw water. Suppliers are to coordinate the locations of electrically actuated valves accordingly with CBWS. Submit calculations for backwashing volumes and requirements for dechlorination if required as all backwashing effluent is discharged to the adjacent Peace River. Supply and deliver dechlorinating system for the backwash as required.
