Location of Work: 5001 East Patrick Henry Highway Burkeville, Virginia 23922 The selected vendor shall design, furnish, and install the boiler system required at Piedmont Geriatric Hospital, 5001 Patrick Henry Highway, Burkeville, Virginia. The PGH Biomass Boiler Purchase Package provides conceptual drawings showing approximate boiler location as well as the locations of appurtenances necessary for proper operation of the new boiler. The drawings show work (demolition and construction) planned by the Owner to renovate the boiler plant. Also included in the PGH Biomass Boiler Purchase Package are Specifications which provide performance requirements the new boiler and appurtenances must meet. The successful bidder will be required to design, manufacture, install, and test the boiler as indicated in the Specifications. The successful bidder will be required to coordinate with the owner and owner's consultants, and contractors as is necessary to ensure a cohesive design that properly accommodates the needs of the boiler and facilitates the related construction at the boiler plant. One manually signed original and two copies of the bid, along with two electronic copies in PDF format on flash drives, shall be submitted to the Agency in a sealed envelope, clearly marked "Invitation for Bid, Project Code 720-18365-011, IFB# 22-01, Piedmont Geriatric Hospital Boiler Plant Repairs All inquiries for information should be directed to: Jason Beshore via email: Jason.Beshore@hdrinc.com. The Owner reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to issue IFBs for similar equipment as the need may arise. The Owner further reserves the right to adjust quantities of individual items by up to 10%. The contract is to be awarded on a lump sum basis as follows: the Total Lump Sum Price including any properly submitted and received bid modifications plus such "optional" items as the Owner in its discretion decides to award. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids at its sole discretion when such rejection is in the interest of the Owner, or to reject the bid of any bidder who is determined to be not responsive and responsible. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in the bid. See 2.2-4319, Code of Virginia, as amended.
