Project Overview: Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center is accepting quotes for the preventative maintenance on all on-site food service equipment. Quotes are for a 5-year period. INTRODUCTION The purpose of this Request for Quotes (RFQ) by the NRADC is to solicit unsealed quotes from interested vendors to provide preventative maintenance on all on-site food service equipment. 2. BACKGROUND The Northwestern Regional Authority owns and operates an 855-bed Regional Adult Detention Center on a 33-acre campus at 141 Fort Collier Road, Winchester, VA. The average daily inmate population for FY21 was 630 inmates. 3. SCOPE OF WORK The vendor shall provide three preventative maintenances (PM's) per year on all equipment (listed in Attachment I) located in the Main Facility (141 Fort Collier Road), the Annex (143 Fort Collier Road), and the Community Corrections (147 Fort Collier Road). At a minimum, each PM will consist of the following: o Verify proper operation of each piece of equipment. o Inspect for cleanliness of each, including all filters. o Inform the Maintenance Supervisor of any discrepancies. o Clean all ice machine evaporators and condensers. All work will be completed between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. and will not disrupt normal business operations. The vendor must schedule all PM's with the Maintenance Supervisor. The vendor shall be solely responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supervision required to complete the work as described above. Tools and equipment shall be always inventoried and accounted for. A list of equipment stored within the secure area shall be submitted to the Captain of Security for approval. The vendor shall not perform any work that is beyond their technical capabilities or for which they are not licensed or certified. The quote cost will cover all labor and trip charges during normal business hours, including labor cost on microwave repairs. All repair parts will be billed separately. Vendors must submit a list of all employees yearly, prior to appearance on site for a background check. Any record indicating felony violations, questionable character or possible security risk shall be just cause for denial of access to the facility. Final approval of employees listed shall be at the sole discretion of the NRADC and shall not be cause for additional payment. Contraband, i.e., alcohol, drugs, guns, knives, medication, tobacco, are strictly prohibited in the secure part of the facility. Parking shall be designated by the facility. All parking lots are County property and NRADC reserves the right to search any vehicle parked on the premises.
