The project consists of the installation of approximately 2400 lineal feet of new 8-inch water main in Elm Street from N. 6th Street to N. 5th Street, N. 5th Street from Elm Street to Oak Street, and Clay Street from 3rd Street to 7th Street. The project includes connections to existing 8-inch water mains; installation 5 new fire hydrants, 9 new water meters with meter boxes; installation of 22 new 1-inch water service lines between the new main and existing meters and removal and replacement of asphalt paving, concrete curb and sidewalk. Bidders must order online to be placed on the Plan Holders List and to receive automatic email notification of addenda. All bids must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a surety bond, postal money order, cash, cashier check, or certified check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid proposed. Failure to furnish a bid bond in compliance with the City bid deposit surety bond form shall make the bid non-responsive and cause the bid to be rejected. The City of Cheney reserves the right to waive any irregularities or informalities and to reject any or all bids.
