The Housing Authority of the County of Kern is soliciting bids from subcontractors needed to build the 40- unit 6th Street Apartments to be located at 1201 6th Street, Bakersfield, CA. Subcontractors must be licensed in accordance with provisions of Chapter 9 of Division 3 of the Business and Professions Code. All subcontractors will be required to obtain the required business license. Subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). All Subcontractors will be responsible for submitting electronic certified payroll reports directly to the Labor Commissioner (Division of Labor Standards Enforcement). Subcontractors must pay the higher of Davis Bacon or State prevailing wages for all work completed onsite.
