This contract consists of the grading and stabilization of the streambank adjacent to 1198 N. Cedar Street in Bristol Borough. Stacked rock will be used to stabilize about 70-feet of compromised streambank. Upstream of stacked rock, the bank will be stabilized as necessary using 4 high R-6 riprap. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 9/22/2022 4:30 PM Each bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount payable to Bristol Borough along with an Agreement of Surety certifying that the required Performance and Payment Bonds will be provided to the Bidder. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish proof of insurance and bonds for Performance, Payment, and Maintenance in such form as meets the approval of Bristol Borough and having as security thereon such Surety company or companies as are approved by Bristol Borough. This project is subject to applicable provisions of Act 422, Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act as amended and the prevailing minimum wage rates issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of the bids. Bristol Borough reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or parts thereof, and to accept the bid, which it deems, in its sole judgment, to be in the best interest of the Township. 1198 N. Cedar Street Streambank Stabilization which includes grading and stabilizing 36' and 32' of streambank, using 7' high and 4' high stacked rock bank protection,respectively, with an additional 2' buried below the stream bottom. Upstream of stacked rock to the access point, the bank will be stabilized as necessary using 4' high R-6 riprap along the toe. Tree removal, debris, and excess excavation within the Contractor's work area shall be disposed of off-site.
