Site work and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in La Habra Heights, California. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; water / sewer project; and for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field.

The work to be done is located at Old Reservoir Park in City of La Habra. It is located on Brookdale Avenue approximately 450 yards west of Harbor Blvd; 820 Brookdale Avenue, La Habra, California 90631. The work comprises the furnishing of all materials, equipment, tools, labor and incidentals as required by the Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents for the project. The general items of work to be performed hereunder consist of but not be limited to Mobilization; Grading, Storm Water Best Management Practices (BMPs and SWPPP), Civil, Drainage, Retaining Wall, Landscaping and Irrigation, Installation of playground equipment, Gazebo, Drinking Water Fountain, Benches, Exercise equipment, Decomposed Granite Walking Path, Safety Lightings and Security Camera System and all other associated work as identified on the Plans, Specification, and Detail Construction Drawings. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified cashier's check or by a corporate surety bond on the form furnished by the City of La Habra, as guarantee that the bidder will, if an award is made to him in accordance with the terms of his bid, promptly secure Worker's Compensation Insurance and Liability Insurance, execute the contract in the required form and furnish satisfactory bonds for the faithful performance of the contract and for the payment of claims of materialmen and workers thereunder. Said check or bidder's bond shall be in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid. The Faithful Performance Bond shall be not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the bid price named in the contract. The Payment Bond shall be not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the bid price named in the contract. The City of La Habra reserves the right to reject any bond if, in the opinion of the Engineer, the Surety's acknowledgment is not in the form included in the contract documents or in another form substantially as prescribed by law. The City of La Habra has determined that a Class A Contractor License is required for this project. All work shall be completed within One Hundred (100) working days from the start date specified in the Notice To Proceed. The Federal minimum wage rates for this project as predetermined by the United States Secretary of Labor are included in the Contract. If there is any difference between the State or Federal wage rates, the Contractor and subcontractors shall pay not less than the higher of the two rates. The City will not accept lower State wage rates not specifically included in the Federal minimum wage determinations. This includes "helper" (or other classifications based on hours of experience) or any other classification not appearing in the Federal wage determinations. Where Federal wage determinations do not contain the State wage rate determination otherwise available for use by the Contractor and subcontractors, the Contractor and subcontractors shall pay not less than the Federal minimum wage rate, which most closely approximates the duties of the employees in question.
