Site work for a road / highway in Port Angeles, Washington. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The existing VMS system is outdated and requires frequent and extensive maintenance. Replace the obsolete signal system with a new VMS system using current technology and standards, reducing the risk of failure and the high cost of maintenance. As of September 13, 2022, this project is in Final Planning status. Preliminary engineering has begun and environmental design is expected to be complete in the Fourth quarter of 2022. The contract advertisement is expected in fourth quarter of 2022 and construction is anticipated to be operationally complete in the first quarter of 2023. WSDOT - US 101/Discovery Bay/SR 104 Hood Canal Ferry EB - VMS *Project information has been obtained through a public state transportation improvement plan (STIP). A STIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the STIP often evolves based on funding availability.
