The DLBA seeks bids from HVAC Suppliers/Contractors interested in providing services for the Detroit Land Bank Authority. Question Deadline 09/16/2022 at 5:00 PM ET Contractor is strongly urged to inspect the interior and exterior of the property. Dimensions given are approximate. Contractor is strongly urged to conduct a pre-bid inspection to field-verify all measurements and dimensions. The DLBA's acceptance of a bid will be based upon the assumption that the Contractor has completed this visit and No change orders will be entertained based upon information that could have been ascertained during that visit. Project Manual Specifications The DLBA seeks bids from HVAC Suppliers/Contractors interested in providing services for the Detroit Land Bank Authority. The following scope of service is requested under this RFQ. The types of services to be provided may include but are not limited to the following sections of the DLBA Project Manual: Division 00 - Procurement & Contracting Requirements Division 01 - General Requirements 007090 - Sealants and Caulks 007100 - Adhesives 023010 - Furnaces 023020 - Duct Sealing 023030 - Humidifier 023040 - Bathroom & Exhaust Fans B. Scope of Work Descriptions To the degree necessary, attach an overall set (fixed) fee for the described scope, including labor, material and all associated means and methods for work performance. HVAC/Furnace - Gas - AC Ready INCLUDE ALL HVAC WORK- Supply and install high efficiency 90% plus natural gas forced air furnace. Install A-coil to make the system AC ready. All venting per code. Rework ductwork as needed for new furnace. Replace all grill covers as needed. Locate thermostat at central location. Do not locate thermostat on exterior wall. Use the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) Manual J for heat loss calculation (calculate manual J based on the post rehab building envelope) and Manual S for equipment selection. Provide both Manual J & S reports with first Draw documents. Permit is required. Ductwork - New Remove all abandoned ductwork. Install new HVAC ductwork as required. Include ductwork and closure outlet covers required for exhaust fans at each bath (Exhaust fans to be provided by others). Do not locate any supply or return registers within exterior walls Dryer Vent - New Install 4" round rigid galvanized ductwork to a wall mounted dryer vent closure outlet. Coordinate location with DLBA. Do not fasten with nails, screws or other fasteners that protrude into the interior of the exhaust duct. Use pop rivets to connect sections of duct. Seal all joints and seams with duct mastic, not duct tape. Secure duct and hood to framing. Dehumidifier - 70 Pint Provide a 70-pint portable dehumidifier in basement. Install hose for draining to nearest floor drain to accommodate continuous use. Supply owner with warranty and instructions.
