Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in East Saint Louis, Illinois. Design plans call for the construction of a 62,500-square-foot fire / police facility; and 21,000-square-foot warehouse / distribution facility.
As of May 25, 2023, an architect has been selected. The stage of design and timeline for construction has not been determined. The scope of work provides for constructing a new District Headquarters Complex consisting of approximately 83,500 square feet located in East St. Louis, Illinois. The facility will include approximately 62,500 square feet of office, administrative and communication space for various units, along with approximately 21,000 square feet of office and storage space for South SWAT, as well as an indoor firing range. The project will also include construction of a communication tower, building and backup generator for emergency services. The site may require an environmental assessment and possible mitigation. A Phase I and partial Phase II Environmental Assessment will be provided to the short-listed firms selected for interviews.
