The CITY OF SOLVANG (hereinafter "City") is soliciting proposals from qualified professional consulting firms (hereinafter "Consultant") to prepare a compensation study and will receive proposals in the office of the City Clerk, 1644 Oak Street, Solvang, California. You are hereby invited to submit a proposal based upon the requirements and conditions set forth in this RFP. The intent of the study is to independently assess and evaluate the City of Solvang's competitiveness in the labor market and to evaluate the overall compensation and benefits package in relation to the market. The study will be based on a comprehensive review of the City of Solvang's current job classifications, salary scales, and benefits relative to similar cities of size and services in the labor market. The services to be performed by the successful Consultant are described in the Request for Proposals. All responsive proposals shall be reviewed and evaluated by the City in order to determine which proposer best meets the City's needs for this project. The criteria by which the City shall evaluate proposals are set forth in the Request for Proposals. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or waive any irregularities in any proposal or the proposal process. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
