Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Santa Ynez, California. Conceptual plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.
The project includes the rehabilitation of the Santa Ynez Valley Airport Authority (SYVAAs) aprons and taxiways that were reconstructed approximately 15 years ago, and Runway 8-26 that was rehabilitated nine (9) years ago. Rehabilitation strategy will include crack fill and seal with a focus on paving cold-joints (particularly on the runway), slurry, and pavement markings. There will likely be some localized dig-outs and re-builds of isolated, failed areas. Work areas have been grouped together into this single project due to the proposed identical pavement rehabilitation strategy throughout. Project is included in the Santa Barbara County's FY 2022 - 2027 Budget CIP. As of September 30, 2022, information regarding a design team or a general contractor is not available. Construction is anticipated to begin on July 1, 2023 and be completed on June 30, 2025.* *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
