Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, materials, parts, supplies, permits, travel, vehicles, equipment and incidentals necessary to provide service for troubleshooting and maintenance service and/or service repairs, parts, and replacement of back-up diesel, gas and/or propane fueled stationary generators that are used in emergency situations. As required by Executive Order S-02-06, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is committed to meeting the State's 25 percent (25%) Small Business (SB) participation goal. Certified SBs, Micro Businesses (MB) are encouraged to submit bids. See Section D, Special Programs, Item 1, in this IFB for requirements. Questions regarding this IFB must be submitted in writing by September 20, 2022. Bidders are encouraged to submit their written questions via e-mail to esmeralda.rojo@dot.ca.gov. Payment Bond (ADM-2009) Requirement: The successful bidder will be required to provide, prior to commencement of work under a Service Request price, a Payment Bond for 100 percent (100%) of the total Service Request, if the Service Request price exceeds $25,000. The Payment Bond is not required at the time of bid submittal; however, it is required, as applicable, prior to the start date of the Service Request. This Agreement will commence on November 1, 2022 (estimate) or upon approval by Caltrans, whichever is later, and no work shall begin before that time. This Agreement is of no effect unless approved by Caltrans. Contractor shall not receive payment for work performed prior to approval of the Agreement and before receipt of notice to proceed by Caltrans Contract Manager. This Agreement shall expire on October 31, 2025 (estimate). The parties may amend this Agreement as permitted by law.
