This Project requires a valid California contractor's license for the following classification(s): Class A or C-10. Contractors bidding as a joint venture must secure a joint venture license prior to award of the Contract for the Project. DIR Registration. City may not accept a Bid Proposal from, or enter into the Contract with, a bidder without proof that the bidder is registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations ("DIR") to perform public work under Labor Code Section 1725.5, subject to limited legal exceptions. Bid Security. The Bid Proposal must be accompanied by bid security of ten percent of the maximum bid amount, in the form of a cashier's or certified check made payable to City, or a bid bond executed by a surety licensed to do business in the State of California on the Bid Bond form included with the Contract Documents. The bid security must guarantee that, upon award of the bid, the successful bidder will execute the Contract and submit the payment and performance bonds, the insurance certificates, and the other documentation required by the Contract Documents, within ten days after City's issuance of the Notice of Award. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the Contract Price. The City of Fremont Police Department is a secure facility. COVID temperature screening may be required for entry, and visitors are required to check-in with a valid ID in order to be issued a visitor pass. To mitigate the amount of social interaction, each potential bidder will be limited to a maximum of two (2) representatives, and to mitigate the amount of time this would normally take prior to the conference, potential bidders need to pre-register by notifying the City as to the names of their attendees by emailing egarcia@fremont.gov by 12:00 p.m. on Monday, September 19, 2022. Any changes or corrections in previously submitted attendees will be required to be sent in advance, by this deadline. Potential bidders are advised to arrive as early as one hour prior to the meeting to allow time for the check-in process and attaining a visitor pass.
