Description: Construction of an 50'x 150' metal shed with concrete floor.
All work is to be performed in a good workmanship like manner.
Misc. All work shall comply with Americans with the Standard Specifications
for Highway Construction Arkansas State Highway and Transportation
Department 2014 edition.
Safety: The contractor shall furnish all necessary equipment, signage and safety
fencing to protect the public and employees during the construction.
Site grading
(1.) Finish Floor Elevation and Benchmark will be determined and conducted by
the contractor.
(2.) Any grass and debris will be removed from the building pad area.
(3.) Compacted select fill will need to be placed to the subgrade elevation on an
52' x 152' pad area in preparation for a 50'x 150' concrete building slab by
the awarded contractor.
Concrete
(1.) A 50'x 150' concrete slab will be formed and footers excavated according to
plans.
(2.) 2 layers of 6 mil plastic sheeting will be placed on pad before placing steel
reinforcement.
(3.) Steel reinforcement size and placement will be according to drawings.
(4.) All steel reinforcement will be grade 60.
(5.) Concrete will be 3500 psi with fibers.
(6.) Concrete additives will be allowed upon Owner's approval.
(7.) Concrete will have a smooth trowel finish.
(8.) Concrete will have a 2"x 2" sheet ledge around the perimeter of the slab.
(9.) Anchor bolts will be placed according to drawings (anchor bolts will be provided by owner).
(10.) Piers will be located at all mainframes and windbeams.
(11) Footing Required required around the entire perimeter of the slab with 5-#5
rebar.
(12) A 2' x 2' Grade beam 5-#5 rebar will be required between the interior
mainframes, tying each frame end into the opposite frame end.
(12.) Contractor shall employ an Arkansas Registered Professional Engineer to
perform testing on concrete. The Concrete Testing shall comply with the
American Concrete Institute ACI 318-95. Results shall be furnished to
owner for review.
Building
(1.) An 50'x 150'x 16' eve height metal building kit will be provided by owner
(building will have no wall framing or sheeting).
(2.) Building framing & roof sheeting will be placed according to drawings
provided by owner
