No Bid shall be considered or accepted unless the bid is accompanied by bid security in an amount not less than of the Base Bid and all Additive Alternates. The bid security shall be in the form of certified check or cashier's check drawn on a bank insured by the FDIC, or on the Jefferson Davis Parish Police Jury Bid Bond Form contained in the project manual written by a surety company licensed to do business in Louisiana with a A.M. Best rating of "A" or better, countersigned by a person who is under contract with the surety company or bond insurer as a licensed agent in this state and who is residing in this state. Bids shall be accepted only from Contractors who are licensed under LS R.S. 37:2150- 2163 for the classification of Building Construction. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LA. R.S. 38:2214. Evidence of authority to submit the bid shall be required in accordance with LA. R.S. 38:2212 (B) (2), (5) and/or LA. R.S. 39:1594 (C) (4). Each bid must be placed in an envelope, sealed and marked on the outside: "Bid Enclosed for Health Unit Roof Replacement for Jefferson Davis Parish Police Jury; Project number: 221044 to be opened at October 13, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at the Jefferson Davis Parish Police Jury Office, Attention: Rebecca Gary, Secretary Treasurer, 304 North State Street P.O.
