Metro North Railroad (MNR) and Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) require the services of a contractor for the inspection of Special Track Work and Individual Track Components at point of manufacture and fabrication to assure MNR & LIRR in procuring the best and highest standard of materials, assemblies and machinery in accordance with the approved shop drawings. Inspection services shall include but not limited to initial production inspection, during-process of fabrication/manufacturing inspection, final random inspection and packing supervision as stated in Bid Documents. Inspection shall be conducted to ascertain whether certified products produced in the factory are identical, within accepted manufacturing tolerances, to the sample against within the product certification was granted. 9-23-22 last date for questions.
