5,800 sq ft 12" compacted Critical fall height of 8' Shredded wood fiber consisting of randomly sized pieces Recycled from wood mills and truss plants Does not exceed 2" in length Contains no more than 15% fines to aid in compaction Must adhere to ASTM F1292, with special attention to the following: Test results for EWF must show corresponding G-max values Must adhere to ASTM F1951, with special attention to the following: Standard specifications for determination of accessibility of surface systems under and around playground equipment. MUST meet the intent of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Must adhere to ASTM F2075, with special attention to the following: Material must undergo the test method described in Section 9.0 to determine the presence of tramp metal particles. Standard wood chips, bark mulch or materials from recycled pallets will not be acceptable. Removal of existing sand and soil to proper depth for installation of Engineered Wood Fiber ("EWF") is required. Removed material to be left on site, and as directed graded/leveled. The following are to be quoted separately: Fibarfelt Fibar Mat: 3' x 3' x 1.5" with beveled edges (ADA compliant) on all sides ADA Wheelchair access ramp: crafted of high-density Polyethylene FibarGuard Borders: crafted of high density Polyethylene Installaton of playground equipment and tuff Timber border to be quoted separately. The Village of Greenport reserves the right to reject any/all bids/quotations or to waive any irregularity in a bid/quotation, and further reserves the right to accept the lowest responding bid/quotation that is deemed to be in the best interest of the Village of Greenport. The work performed under this contract is subject to the prevailing wage requirements of the New York State Labor Law. In the event of any discrepancy in the price or amount of the Bid/quotation for any item in the proposal, the price as expressed in words shall govern. Any request by a Proposer or Proposer's representative to the Village or any other person or party for information, clarification, or interpretation must be submitted to the Village of Greenport Village Clerk, in writing only, not less than five (5) days prior to closing date for the submission of Bids/Quotations.
