As of October 26, 2022, the project has been awarded. A timeline for construction has not been confirmed. Luzerne County is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for Structure Rehabilitation - Faux Road (CB45810). The Structure Rehabilitation Project will consist ofthe replacement of approximately thirty-five (35) rivets, the repair of two (2) cracks utilizing one (1) repair plate, the repair of one (1) holed through end post, and the repair of one (1) deck panel. The items of work are identified more specifically in the Project Specifications. The entire project will be awarded to one (1) Contractor. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order ofTHE COUNTY OF LUZERNE, negotiable US Government Bonds (at par value), or satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable surety in the amount of 10% ofthe Total Bid of construction shall be submitted with each bid. PA Prevailing Wages apply to this project. Contractors must be PennDOT prequalified. The SUCCESSFUL BIDDER will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% ofthe Contract Price with a coiporate surety approved by the Owner. The CONTRACTOR must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because oftheir race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. Bid may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of opening bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract. Owner shall reject all bids or award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder within 60 days ofthe bid opening. Questions must be submitted, via PennBID by 5:00 PM on Thursday October 6, 2022. Work to be completed on or before December 31, 2022.
