Renovation of a parking garage in Madison, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.
In general, the work consists of a two phased project to repair and renovate the Monona Terrace 43 Parking Ramp (MTR). This contract is for Phase I only. Phase I provides architectural and structural 44 remediation of the building envelope to address water ingress into the MTR from failed concrete, 45 grout, and steel corrosion, and includes the structural retrofit of the existing bus lane to accommodate 46 the increased loading from heaver buses (i.e., wheel loads of 11,000 pounds at their gross vehicle weight 47 rating.). 48 49 In addition, electrical upgrades will be provided for the replacement of corroded electrical equipment 50 in electrical rooms in the Parking Ramp. 51 52 Work for Phase II which will be bidding next year provides for the installation of a parking deck traffic 53 coating system, the replacement of expansion joints and joint sealant, re-painting of parking lines and miscellaneous repairs as needed. There will also be cabinet unit heatersinstalled in the electrical rooms. The final MEP piece is a remodel of the existing irrigation system. Please submit questions as soon as possible.
