Renovation of an educational facility in Springdale, Maryland. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a 102,400-square-foot educational facility.

The scope of work for this project also includes replacing the roof in coordination with the replacement of rooftop units. There are a number of roofing levels at this facility (refer to drawings attached outlining phased areas and levels). The installation of rooftop units cited in the mechanical scope shall be fully coordinated in both phases of the roofing replacement. The scope of work includes demolition of existing roofing and insulation and provision and installation of new built-up roofing and insulation as well as new modified bitumen roofing and insulation at the Gymnasium roof. All drains including auxiliary drains will be replaced. All perimeter and field of roof expansion joints will be replaced. All perimeter metal coping and counter flashing will be replaced. All power roof ventilators and gravity ventilators will be replaced. The Phase 1 area includes the replacement of approximately 73,504 SF of roofing consisting of approximately 17,642 SF of modified bitumen roofing and 55.862 SF of built-up roofing. The Phase 2 Roofing and Rooftop HVAC Equipment Replacement project includes the replacement of approximately 102,400 SF of built-up roofing.
