Palma Village Park is a two-acre neigh borhood park located at 44550 San Carlos Avenue, Palm Desert, CA 92260. This park offers a range of amenities, including a playground, basketball court, and sand volleyball area for active recreation. The park also features walking paths, as well as picnic areas for outdoor gatherings. Based upon community meetings, the neighborhood desires to activate the northeast portion of the Palma Village Park (De Anza Way and San Pascual Ave). The project includes installing a 40-foot hexagonal shade structure and complementary park amenities underneath the structure. The project includes concrete flatwork as well. Each Bid shall be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or Bid Bond secured from a surety company satisfactory to the City, the amount of which shall not be less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price, made payable to City of Palm Desert to guarantee the Bidder will enter into a Contract with the City. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Faithful Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. Each bond shall be in the forms set forth herein, shall be secured from a surety company that meets all State of California bonding requirements, as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120, and that is a California admitted surety insurer. The City reserves the right to accept all subcontractors. The City's acceptance of any Subcontractor under this Contract shall not in any way relieve Contractor of its obligations in the Contract Documents.
