It is the intent of this RFP to establish a contract for Grounds and Landscape Maintenance for the South End Beach Accesses to be performed on a year round basis. Proposals for a service only that is $25,000.00 or greater must be accompanied by a bidder's bond or cashier's check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total dollar amount of the proposal submitted, payable to the City of Myrtle Beach. No other forms of security will be accepted. Contractor will be on a six (6) month trial period to begin the contract. The base year of the contract shall be two (2) six (6) month trial/probationary contracts. The first six (6) month contract will be a trial period. Upon successful completion of the first six (6) month trial period a second six (6) month probationary contract will be issued to complete the base year. After successful completion of the base year contract term, renewal of the contract will be considered for four (4) additional one (1) year periods provided both parties agree, the terms and conditions remain the same, and renewal is in the best interest of the City. Should the contract be renewed, the renewal shall be documented by contract and/or purchase order.
