The work for which proposals are invited consists of approximately 889 C.Y. of asphalt resurfacing on various streets throughout the Village. The Owner and/or Engineer will not be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Engineer. Proposals will only be accepted from bidders who have purchased the Contract Documents from Mote & Associates, Inc. and are registered as a planholder. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of this project. Additionally, Contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123 is required. Each Bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the Proposal and all persons interested therein. Each Bidder must submit evidence of its experience on projects of similar size and complexity, and a complete list of all subcontractors to be used. The Owner intends and requires that the project be completed no later than October 31, 2022 for the Base Bid and Alternate #1 and June 30, 2023 for Alternate #2 and Alternate #3. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
