No definite date for the rebid.** The Borough of Frackville will receive sealed bids for a design/build salt shed building The scope of the work will generally consist of providing a 30-foot wide by 40-foot long by 18-foot, 4-inch high pole-type building enclosed on three sides with 8-foot high concrete walls and then with No. 28 gauge siding, and No. 27 gauge roofing on a 4-inch concrete floor. All permits and approvals must be obtained, and compliance with snow and wind loads necessary. A Bid Bond or acceptable surety in an amount equal to 10% of the total bid for construction to be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder must furnish Performance and Payment Bonds or acceptable surety in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price, together with proof of insurance, before contract is awarded. The Borough of Frackville reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in bidding; further, bids may be held by the Borough for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding of the contract. Proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes and marked "Bid for Design/Build Salt Shed" and include the name of the bidder on the outside cover. Engineered sealed blueprints are required.
