Town of Montross 15869 Kings Highway Montross, VA 22520 Attn: Patricia Lewis, Town Manager Montross Waterline Improvement Sealed Bids for a water of distribution system upgrades generally consisting of 520 feet of 12-inch PVC, 225 Feet of 12-inch HDPE, 9,700 feet of 8-inch PVC, 1,358 feet of 8-inch HDPE, 332 feet of 6-inch DIP, 3,750 feet of service laterals, 14 fire hydrants, valves, and fittings. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids may be withdrawn in accordance with applicable provisions of the Code of Virginia. A Certified Check or Bid Bond drawn to the order of the Town of Montross in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. All proposals shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders, Article 13 Preparation of Bid Submission - to be found in the Instruction to Bidders. The successful bidder for this contract must furnish a 100 percent Performance Bond, and a 100 percent Labor and Material Bond. Each Bidder is required to submit an experience and equipment list with their bid. Town of Montross hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all Bidders, to refuse any or all bids submitted; and also reserves the right to waive any informality in bids received, but any contract awarded will be to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
