This work shall consist of furnishing a street name sign which is internally illuminated with light emitting diodes, and installing the sign on a traffic signal mast arm or span wire. The work will require signs at each of the two (2) intersections listed below: o Kingshighway at First Capitol (3 signs) o Fifth St. at First Capitol (4 signs) Deadline for clarifying questions: September 23, 2022 3:00 PM Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check or a certified check for an amount not less than five (5) percent of the bid amount, payable unconditionally to the City of Saint Charles, Missouri as a guarantee that the bidder will execute a contract and furnish the required bond if the bid is accepted. Failure to submit bid bond will result in rejection of bid. Per City Code of Ordinance Section 145.020, "On all contracts for public work of any kind to be performed for the City, the cost of which is estimated to exceed fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00), every Bidder entering into contract with the City for any such public work shall execute therewith and file in the office of the City Clerk a bond, with good and sufficient sureties to be approved by the City Attorney, in an amount equal to the contract price for such work and conditioned among other things for the faithful performance of the contract, the payment of any and all materials incorporated, consumed or used in connection with the construction of such work and all insurance premiums, both for compensation and for all other kinds of insurance, on the work and for all labor performed in such work, whether by subcontractor or otherwise." The City of Saint Charles reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The City reserves the right to waive any variances from original bid specifications in cases where the variances are considered to be in the best interest of the City.
