The R. J. Corman Railroad Company/Western Ohio Lines and R. J. Corman Railroad Company/Cleveland Line (collectively "the railroad") has received a grant from the Ohio Rail Development Commission (ORDC)for tie replacement and track surfacing along the railroad's Wooster, Cleveland, Spencerville Eglin, and St. Mary branches in Wayne, Tuscarawas, Allen, and Mercer counties. Although the railroad's grant is with the ORDC, 65% of this project is funded via federal funds. The railroad invites all Ohio Department of Transportation qualified contractors to submit bids for the labor and equipment associated with this project. Materials will be provided by the railroad. Work consists of replacing 20,500 cross ties, replacing 500 switch ties, and 153,120 track feet of surfacing. Any technical questions should be directed to Melanie.Heckman@RJCorman.com.
