Renovation of an elderly care / assisted living facility in Kingston, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a elderly care / assisted living facility.
The City is seeking a qualified building envelope contractor to complete repairs of the exterior building envelope including masonry repairs, lintel repairs, removal and replacement of foundation wall parging, and insulating glass unit (IGU) replacements at the Seniors Centre. Refer to Appendix H and I for specifications and drawings outlining the work. The City of Kingston is looking for qualified contractors to complete building envelope repairs at the Seniors Centre, located at 56 Francis Street, Kingston, ON. The building was originally constructed as a school in multiple stages in 1948, 1955, and 1956. It was converted to its current use as the Seniors Centre in 2001. The scope of the work generally includes but is not limited to the following. Refer to Appendix H and I for the specifications and drawings outlining the full scope of work. - A detailed review and repair of the exterior building envelope including masonry repairs, lintel repairs, and insulating glass unit (IGU) replacements. - Removal and replacement of sealants. - Removal and replacement of foundation wall parging - Coordination with the City and the Seniors Centre staff.
