PURPOSE The School Board of the City of Portsmouth Virginia, hereinafter referred to as "PPS", is seeking bids from qualified contractors to purchase walk-in freezers for its CTE culinary arts kitchen as described by this solicitation to include removal of existing equipment and installation of the new equipment. II. SCOPE OF WORK A. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, and supplies necessary to furnish and install fully functioning walk-in freezers. The Successful Contractor shall furnish and install all hardware, mounting brackets, electrical connections, and all required components necessary to provide a complete and turnkey installation. Turnkey installation to include removal and disposal of existing machines, delivery, setting in place, and final electrical and plumbing connections. The existing ductwork is to be reused and attached to the new machines. All work shall be performed at the following school, including delivery of equipment: Manor High School CTE Culinary Arts Kitchen 1401 Elmhurst Lane Portsmouth, VA 23701 Site visit is mandatory and required to ensure new equipment will work with existing electrical wiring, gas supply, power supply and plumbing. Bids will only be accepted by contractors in attendance. It is the goal of PPS that 12% of its purchases is made from minority and women-owned businesses enterprises (M/WBE) under this solicitation.
