Site work and paving for a road / highway in Readington Township, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The work will be funded by the Township of Raritan. The major construction items include: Base Bid: 8,600 s.y. Full Depth Reclamation; 1,200 tons HMA 9.5M-64 surface course 2" average thickness; 56 l.f. 9"x 18" concrete vertical curb; 48 l.f. granite block curb; 92 s.y. concrete sidewalk, reinforced 4" thick The Township shall reserve the right to award the Base Bid or to reject all bids in accordance with the Local Public Contracts Law. The work shall include but not be limited to storm sewer installation; water; roadway excavation; pavement installation; guide rail installation; landscaping; restoration; striping; and all other incidentals appurtenant thereto as directed by the Engineer, in a neat, competent, and skilled manner. The Contractor shall be able to perform all work in accordance with the project Specifications and under the immediate supervision of the Engineer, and shall be prepared to furnish the necessary labor required for the restoration of inaccessible areas. Additional Doc Acq Note- Specifications and forms of bids for the proposed work, prepared by Antoine Hajjar, P.E., Township of Raritan Engineer, are on file in the office of said Engineer at the Raritan Township Municipal Building and may be inspected by prospective bidders during business hours. Bids must be made on standard proposal forms in the manner designated therein, and required by the specifications, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes, bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, addressed to the Township of Raritan Municipal Building, One Municipal Drive, Flemington, NJ 08822 and must be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Bid Bond or Certified Check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, providing said check or bid bond need not be more than $20,000.00 nor shall not be less than $500.00, and be delivered at the place on or before the hour named above. The successful bidder must comply with all the previsions of N.J.A.C. 7:22-9.1 et. seq. for the participation of small business enterprises owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals (SEDs). In addition, bidders are required to comply with the requirements of Public Law 1975, Chapter 127(N.J.A.C. 17:27), as well as the provisions contained in the project's Socially and Economically Disadvantage Individuals (SEDs) Utilization Plan. Neither the United States, the State of New Jersey, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Trust, nor any of their departments, agencies, or employees, is or will be, a party to this contract or subcontract or any lower tier contract or subcontract. Bidders are required to conform to all provisions of the Local Public Contracts Law, the Prevailing Wage Act and the requirements of P.L. 1975, c.127. The Township of Raritan Mayor and Committee reserve the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in any bid inuring to the benefit of the Township of Raritan. COMPLETION AND SUBMISSION OF THESE FORMS IS MANDATORY. (1) Bid Proposal Form; (2) Non-Collusion Affidavit; (3) In accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-21, a bid bond of a type acceptable to the Owner issued by a surety licensed in the State of New Jersey, and listed in U.S. Department of the Treasury Circular 570, or a certified or cashier's check payable to the Owner, such bid bond or check to be in the amount of 10% of the bid (if alternates are included, 10% of the total of the base bid and the highest alternate bid), but not in excess of $20,000.00; (4) A disclosure statement executed in the form included herein, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2 (Chapter 33 of the Public Laws of 1977) [includes all forms of ownership]; (5) In accordance with Paragraph 7, a Consent of Surety of a type acceptable to the Owner, issued by a Surety licensed in the State of New Jersey and listed in U.S. Department of the Treasury Circular 570. Consent of Surety is required even if a check is submitted in lieu of a bid bond. (6) A list, in the form included herewith, of any subcontractors to whom the bidder will subcontract the furnishing of any of the work. If no subcontractors are to be engaged, the appropriate space on the form should be checked Whenever a bidder lists more than one subcontractor for any categories set forth above, the bidder shall submit to the Owner with its bid, a certificate signed by the bidder listing each subcontractor for the particular category. The certificate shallset forth the scope of work for which each subcontractor has submitted a price quote and for which the bidder has agreed to award to each subcontractor should the bidder be awarded the contract. A failure to submit a certificate or certificates with the bid shall result in rejection of the bid. Contractors and Subcontractors must have all required professional licenses and/or permits in their possession, and must have completed all registration or other proceduresrequired by any State agency or board, prior to the opening of bids. (7) If a corporation, and the proposal if not signed by the president of the corporation, a copy of the corporate resolution authorizing the individual who signed the bid to submit bids on behalf of the corporation (form provided by bidder). (8) Completed Acknowledgment of Receipt of Notice, Revisions, or Addenda. (9) In accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.1, (effective July 1, 1999) each Bidder must complete and enclose with its bid the Required Document Checklist form enclosed in the Specifications. MBE (3%), WBE (6.9%) fully complete the project within 60 consecutive working days
