Design to include the replacement of existing electrical service and switchboard in the original main electrical room, including incoming electrical service and panel feeders. Service size to remain the same. Design to include evaluation of existing distribution with the original building's electrical system. Chesapeake Public Schools may need to hire an Electrical Subcontractor directly to assist in field investigation by removing equipment access panels. Evaluate the options for connecting the new electrical service at 1200 amp 120/208v, 3-phase. Coordinate with Dominion Energy for service rework design. Design Documents will include arc flash labeling specifications. Rework emergency power connections, as required, and rework electrical distribution at the main entrance point, as required, for code compliance. All bids must be in strict compliance with provisions of the Electrical Distribution Modification Project at Southeastern Elementary School. The right to waive any and all informalities and to determine responsibility of all bidders is reserved to Chesapeake Public Schools. The Owner reserves the right to negotiate any aspect of this bid with the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. No bid or any part thereof may be withdrawn or canceled or modified for 90 days after the bid opening, with the exception that bids may be withdrawn after opening in accordance with the procedures for Withdrawal of Bids, Section 2.2-4330 of the Code of Virginia.
