Oakland County Purchasing is requesting bids on behalf of Oakland County Water Resource Commissioners (WRC) for a defoamer for an anaerobic digester located at the Clinton River Water Resource Recovery Facility (CRWRRF). CRWRRF utilizes a conventional activated sludge treatment process that treats wastewater from residential, commercial, and industrial locations throughout Northeast Oakland County. To help limit, reduce, or eliminate the foaming within the anaerobic digester, WRC is looking for a polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) free defoamer. The initial contract will be for three years, with the option of one-year extension, up to five years.
