Site work for a municipal facility in Big Island, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility.
The Bedford County Department of Public Works is soliciting written bids from prospective contractors to provide a retaining wall at the Big Island Tower site. Bids will be received until 3:00 PM on October 7, 2022 for providing the work described within the IFB. All inquiries for information should be submitted in writing to Erik Smedley at esmedley@bedfordcountyva.gov. The Work includes installing an approximately 66-ft long retaining wall with an approximate maximum height of 8-ft. The basis of design is a ReCon block retaining wall, as detailed in Attachment B: Project Drawings. The Owner will accept "or-equal" designs
