Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Verona, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

This Project includes improvements that will be made to provide a safe playground and an ADA environment for the children's use. The following improvements are proposed: 1) Alterations to the Handicap Parking Space to meet ADA guidelines 2). The existing safety surface will be removed and replaced with engineered wood fiber. 3). The installation of two (2) ground level play apparatus will be installed with ADA criteria. 4). The installation of a handicapped accessible ramp to meet ADA requirements and an ADA accessible route to the playground will be installed. The route will be 4 feet wide and 140 feet in length and will be constructed with an aggregate material. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage rates shall be paid on this Contract if the bid price exceeds $25,000. Clarification Deadline 10/4/2022 5:00 PM This project was financed in part by a grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Commonwealth Financing Authority, (CFA), and all requirements specified in the grant agreement must be met by the successful bidder. Proposals to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder's Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of the Rosedale Volunteer Fire Department in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Proposal for each separate contract as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within fifteen (15) days after Notice of the Award of the Contract. The Proposals must be made to the Rosedale Volunteer Fire Department, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and shall remain firm for a period of sixty (60) days. No Bidder may withdraw his Proposal during the sixty (60) day period without forfeiting his Bid guarantee. Performance, Maintenance, and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workman's Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreement upon acceptance of the Proposal from the successful Bidder. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, or any part thereof, for any reason, and reserves the right to waive any informality therein.
