Renovation of an educational facility in Melrose, Massachusetts. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The City of Melrose is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified firms as they relate to providing consulting and engineering design services for roof replacement at the Hurd Ripley School, 94 Lebanon St. and at the Melrose High School Learning Commons at 360 Lynn Fells Parkway. In addition, the consultant should be prepared to provide general consulting services where the City requires expertise in assessing roofing deficiencies in other locations. This project has a not to exceed design cost of $140,000. Proposers must have, or be firms employing a person with, a current license and registration by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a designer or professional engineer, with a minimum of five (5) years experience in the design, construction and supervision for projects of similar size and scope. All questions must be in writing and emailed to Jennifer Rosa at JRosa@CityofMelrose.org. All questions must be received no later than 4:00 PM on October 17, 2022. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
