Questions must be received no later than Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. The County of Amador is seeking sealed bids for the furnishing of all labor, tax, bonds, insurance, permits, premiums, shipping, transportation, services, disposal, equipment, materials, and appurtenant facilities for ADA upgrades and construction of a yard separation wall with access and exit doors for the Amador County Sheriffs Department. Qualified bidders may acquire a bid package at the office of General Services Administration located at 12200-B Airport Road, Martell, CA 95654 (209) 223-6375. The Project name is Amador County Sheriff's ADA Upgrades & Yard Separation, as shown in this project manual (plans & Specifications) prepared by Amador County and Nacht and Lewis (Architect of Record). The Base Bid Work includes but not necessarily limited to interior and exterior ADA upgrades to the path of travel serving the future new jail expansion project. Also included is a new yard separation creating a pedestrian route from the jail to the exterior eventually connecting the expansion building. Exterior scope of work includes new concrete, concrete upgrades at the yard, new CMU wall yard partition and exterior security doors. Interior scope of work includes removing or modifying protrusions along the ADA route of travel, new upgrades at the lobby and entry, and new staff and inmate restroom upgrades. This work will require moving County furniture and equipment and storage of furniture and equipment as necessary. Due to the special nature of construction in an occupied secured facility the project will have to be completed in phases for the lobby/entry, staff restrooms and, inmate restroom ADA upgrades. Temporary restrooms and shower are required for staff and inmates.
