Renovation of a municipal facility in Marietta, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
As of December 11, 2023, the project has been awarded, however, a timeline for construction has not been confirmed. Project consists of the rehabilitation of the existing Recycling Center located at 1775 County Services Parkway, Marietta, Georgia, 30060. Rehabilitation includes the replacement of the existing asphalt surface with concrete pavement. The work also includes curb and gutter, drainage structures, and pavement markings. New fencing and gates will be installed around the perimeter of the site. The Recycling Center will remain in operation during construction of this project. All work must be coordinated with Cobb County Staff, as well West Rock staff, to ensure minimal interruptions to the Center's operation. Contractor must meet the current bid requirements of the Georgia Department of Transportation. Contractor and their subcontractors are required to be in compliance with the "Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act." Cobb County will affirmatively comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d--42 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, part 21 Nondiscrimination Act(s). Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Participation and Small Business Participation in all DOT contracts is encouraged. The Cobb County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject all Bids and waive any formalities.
